January 25,26,27,....February 16...Gone

22 days and the road is our home. Made jerky this week to take on the road. Yes obviously for survival purposes. I think it pretty much sucks but really it is a bunch of dried up beef. I also think I will be the only one eating this beef mistake while on this trip. Karen (oh yea aka " princess") doesn't like it and the other traveler (Santa) can't chew.

Nice... he is spitting it out !

Oh now he is going to show me how to cook. Well maybe I will just have to put him in the back of the camper for this trip.I will show him who's boss oh wait we know who's boss (princess). Look at him he can barely reach the stove.

He doesn't navigate the web to well so I can write and he will never know that I said all of this.

Running out of time

If some of these blogs don't make sense start at the archives and read from the beginning or I was drinking and that could be the reason also.
Looks like 24 more days to lift off. We are leaving after Joe Lombardo's big journey begins. Good luck Joe ! everybody should try marriage in fact some of us try it over and over till we get it right! Important part I finally got it right.
Okay enough of that we are starting to realize how soon this trip is going to be here. The three of us are trained professionals and will embrace every obstacle known to man or manlike-toy. Did we watch First Blood...Hell yeah, Rambo 1,2,3,4 and 5 hell yeah! we are ready for the woods and survival. Now as long as that Generator keeps running and I don't run out of batteries we will be fine.

He is off duty so now he is getting impatient. I told him we are down to 35 days. Maybe I'll do a quick photo shoot with Santa to ease the stress of the long winter.

I think Santa is trying to tell me something. We need to go south!
No what we need to do is pack. How much Genny should we take.

Look what I found on the last trip. Santa was so excited! I think we all know who was the excited one. This was in Kodachrome State park, Utah.

This loony tune thinks we are going on a boat trip. I will convince him the mode of travel for us is either a sled or the Minnie Winnie. We are planning a February departure. No planes, trains or BOATS!

Now this will be much easier to handle. I love this guy but his driving is horrible, looks straight ahead never looks both ways and " texting while driving" that is just the norm.

(He has no clue... I told him to get Minnie ready and he's trying to start the jeep. This is going to be a fun trip).

We only have 37 days and we are "willy nelson" on the road again looking for "somewhere over the rainbow" and trying to be "young at heart". Santa is obviously ready to go right now.

My new career

I think this cooking thing was fun, hell I've been doing it for 40 years. I think it's time for a new passion. I even taught my little buddy Santa how to cook. Of course I will always cook it's what I do. Writing funny stories and traveling should fill that void just fine. I hope I can figure out this blogging stuff. But if I don't I can always go back and read my own stories and probably crack up on some of the things I find funny. That's what life is about laughing at yourself and trying to have other people enjoy life too. People laughing are fun to be with they are always in a good mood when their laughter is sincere. I always wanted to be a writer but this cooking and laughing stuff just took over. Santa wants to know
does this coat make him look fat?
OK now let's get serious.
When I was young oh wait I'm still young I used to write stories and I would ramble on and drift into my own world and live all those mysteries and fantasies.
It was truly fun. Now that I am so much older and more mature I feel I should share some stories with you "the reader". These new stories won't be fantasy but actual true life stories. Yes this weird stuff actually happens and you are the lucky "reader".
